The idea to travel through Slovenia by bike started a few years ago after talking with a friend who had spent one week there. I began planning in December of 2013 after spending some introspective time in a rustic cabin on the sunshine coast:
It may have been the cabin fever or the whiskey or the fever I was trying to cure with the whiskey at the cabin, but out of those fevered thoughts and conversations came the idea that September of 2014 would be a great time to travel. In the words of Morgan Freeman, most likely, in some movie I cant remember the name of: "And, well, so it began."
